Lately, I’ve been doing a thing on Twitter and TwitPic where everyday at 1PM I take a picture with my phone and post it.
Follow me on Twitter and/or Facebook to get to see them in the future.
There’s a Jet-Pack Jenny Facebook fan page
I set it up months ago, but completely forgot about it until I was searching for someone’s profile on Facebook and saw that I had gotten an extra fan, that was not one of my fiends on Facebook. Now it’s always neat to know that someone likes your work not just because they know you. So I used the little “suggest to friends” link and now there’s a couple dozen fans of Jet-Pack jenny on Facebook. Of course I know all but one of them already through Facebook.
So what do you get by being a fan of Jet-Pack Jenny on Facebook? Well, you will get first peeks of the new strip as soon as it’s posted. In most cases, the strip is uploaded at least 24 hours in advance. This week’ll be a little earlier. I also hope to use the photos section to show some sketches and stuff that’s related to Jet-Pack Jenny, but really only have a place in a final collected edition that has a sketchbook section.
By being a fan, you’ll get extra stuff, but it’ll also be the first place I break news about new collections, such as a collected Flight of the Virginia Dare. I’m going to print it through ka-blam! so it’ll be able to be purchased as a print-on-demand item. Ka-blam! does good work, and if you’ve never bought one of the books that they’ve printed because you were worried about print quality, you really need to get one. I can’t print mini-comics at the same cost, and the time-saving element alone is a great bonus.
So what are you waiting for?
